FAT IS GOOD :)
Didn't think you would see that ^^ in a sentence ever huh?
Well some people think fat, ALL fat, is bad. This is not true & it is actually very dangerous to think this way... Guess what! > your body uses FAT to BURN FAT. Interesting, I know.
But here's the catch & pay attention to this! I'm not telling you to go stuff yourself with fatty foods - I am NOT talking about pizza, sausages, etc. I am talking about GOOD fats.
Here's the thing - if you eat good fats in the morning, you actually set your body to increase its metabolism & burn fat throughout the day. Eating a lot of carbohydrates in the morning, increases your blood sugar levels early in the day & then you experience that energy "crash" later in the afternoon. But good fats & PROTEIN creates a gradual blood sugar increase throughout the day, allowing you to have more energy.
So what does this look like? Here's some good FATS & PROTEINS and a recipe for my favorite breakfast pre-workout :)
- Nuts, Avocado, Olive & Coconut oils, Natural Peanut or Almond butter, Fish, Flaxseed, Tofu, Chia seeds
- Eggs, Beans, Lean Meats, Seafood, Nuts, Greek yogurt,
The above are just some ideas...
- 2 Tbsp plain Greek yogurt
- 1 Tbsp Cottage Cheese
- 1/4 cup Walnuts
- 1 tbsp Chia seeds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tbsp raw honey
- MIX together :)
