8-Minute Abs with 8 lb Dumbbell

I love coming up with small circuit type workouts that are easy to do at home. They're fun for me to create & hopefully fun for you to complete! 

Everyone loves Abs so here's an 8-minute Ab circuit - all you need is an 8 lb dumbbell! 

Each exercise is completed in 30 second intervals - 20 seconds on, 10 seconds rest

1. Straight leg Crunch with DB overhead: lay flat, hold ends of DB in each hand - begin with arms stretched overhead - keep legs straight & move up to sitting position (elbows can bend slightly as you come up). Crunch down, bring arms overhead with DB & repeat.  (0-20 seconds Rest 10 sec)

2. Russian Twists: Sit with DB end in each hand, bend knees & left feet slightly off the ground. Rotate torso & move DB from one side of body to other. Controlled movements & full rotation is key. (30-50 seconds Rest 10 sec)

3. Push Through Crunch:  Lay back, bend knees & spread feet to leave gap between knees. Hold DB ends in each hand & crunch up aiming the DB to be pushed between/through knees. Go back down & repeat for the 20 seconds. (1:00-1:20; Rest 10 sec)

4. Straight Leg Toe Touch: Lay with your back flat, lift legs until 90 degrees with hips & straighten knees as much as you can. Hold DB ends in each hand & complete small movements up to reach the DB toward your toes (1:30 - 1:50; Rest 10 sec)

*2 minutes Completed: REPEAT 3 more times*

NOTE: If any of these exercises are difficult with the DB, take the weight out & complete without it - build up to using weight :)
