Remember WHY you Workout
I briefly touched on this in yesterday's blog post, but I wanted to expand on this thought for a minute. WHY do you workout?
This question is important because the main reason people give up is because they do it to look a certain way. When that is your number one focus, I guarantee you will most likely end up giving up. So why should you workout?
Most importantly, I hope you do it for your health. I don't need to expand on the health benefits of a regular routine, you all know what they are, but I want to encourage you to keep this in mind every, single day.
- For a specific purpose - meaning you are working towards something. Whether it's a half marathon, a mud run, a Color Run, self defense, sprint triathlon, etc. there needs to be SOMETHING. Because when you are committed to getting better for a certain thing, your body will automatically transform into a healthier, leaner, fit self AND you will stay motivated. When you are strictly focused on how you look, that will be your obsession & you will lose your momentum because let me tell you, it will never be enough. No matter how good you look you unfortunately, will always want more...
So pick a specific thing to work towards & remember, you are doing this for your health & happiness!
