3 Quick & Healthy Snack Ideas
I know how it is constantly being on the go & needing to grab something quick to eat. But quick doesn't have to be "fast food" that's processed & unhealthy. So here are my favorite go to's!
- Greek Yogurt with Berries & Almonds
- I like to get plain, Chobani yogurt because it doesn't have a bunch of additives. I add 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract to it & then top it with my favorite berries (blueberries & raspberries or strawberries). I add almonds (instead of granola) for the crunch & then sprinkle some cinnamon on top! Some protein, good fats & a little bit of good sugars/carbs from the fruit!
- Homemade Trail mix
- I love to make this at the beginning of the week & then pre-pack ziploc bags for each day. I just place cashews, slivered almonds & banana chips on parchment paper. Toss with coconut oil, 1 tsp cinnamon & a pinch of nutmeg. Place on a baking sheet & bake in the oven at 350degrees F for just 5 minutes or so. Let cool & then add dark chocolate chips, dried mango (unsweetened) & coconut flakes (unsweetened).
- Banana with Almond Butter: super simple but so yummy.
